Socio-culturally, as well as geographically the valley, is separated from all other cultures or civilizations. The unity and brotherhood of Muslim, Sikh, Buddhist and Hindu philosophies have created an amalgamated and complex culture that is based on unity, honesty, respect, humanism, tolerance, etc., which is known as Kashmiriyat for which the whole state is famous all over the world. Apart from the natural beauty, the valley is famous for its rich cultural uniqueness, which includes language, food habits, dressing style, folkways, festivals, beliefs, norms, family structure, marriage celebration, music, and dance. The valley is famous all over the world for its scenic beauty, high mountains, pastures, beautiful gardens as has been compared to heaven on Earth. Kashmir, the official division and one of the Capitals of Jammu and Kashmir is located in the northern part of the Indian sub-continent.
